B.I (비아이) is a South Korean rapper, singer-songwriter, composer and producer under 131 Label and IOK Music. He is a former member of the boy group iKON.
2015: Debut with iKON
– B.I debuted as the leader of boy group iKON on September 15, 2015.
2019: Departure from iKON and YG Entertainment
– On June 12, 2019, he left YG Entertainment and the group after an illegal drug purchase scandal.
2020 – 2011: Solo activities
– On September 28, 2020, B.I was appointed as the executive director of IOK Company.
– On March 16, 2021, 131 Label released a music video teaser for the song “Midnight Blue” and announced the release of B.I’s first single album “Midnight Blue (Love Streaming)” on March 19.
– On April 15, 2021, he released the digital single “Dear.” under the name ID (BE IDENTITY).
– On May 7, 2021, 131 Label announced a schedule for B.I’s comeback with a global single, “Got It Like That“, on May 14 and a full album, Waterfall, on June 1.
– On August 31, 2021, it was revealed that B.I would feature on his former label-mate Lee Hi’s upcoming third studio album 4 Only, on the song “Savior”, written and composed by B.I. The official music video for “Savior” was released on September 3, 2021. The song was officially released on all platforms on September 9, 2021, along with the rest of the album.
– On October 1, 2021, B.I released the digital single “Lost At Sea (Illa Illa 2)“, a reinterpretation of “Illa Illa”, which features Bipolar Sunshine and Afgan.
– On November 11, 2021, B.I will release the half album Cosmos, which includes the lead single of the same name.
