JO1 (ジェイオーワン) is an eleven-member Japanese boy group formed by the top contestants of Produce 101 Japan under LAPONE ENTERTAINMENT. The group name “JO1” implies that trainees who have dreamed together at “PRODUCE 101 JAPAN” will become one and aim for the top of the world. The debut single “PROTOSTAR” that was released on March 4th, 2020 was number 1 in oricon weekly single ranking(3/16) after its first appearance. In the first-half oricon ranking 2020(2019/12/23～2020/6/15), the album was number 2 in the newcomer sales category by artist. On June 21st, they appeared for the first time on “KCON:TACT 2020 SUMMER” as a Japanese boys group. The secont single “STARGAZER” will be released on August 26th.
2019年社会現象を起こした日本最大級のオーディション番組「PRODUCE 101 JAPAN」で、視聴者である“国民プロデューサー”によって101名の中から選ばれた11名で結成されたグローバルボーイズグループ。 グループ名「JO1」（ジェイオーワン）には、「PRODUCE 101 JAPAN」で一緒に夢を目指した練習生たちが1つになって、世界の頂点を目指していくという意味が込められている。2020年3月4日に発売したデビューシングル『PROTOSTAR』は、オリコン週間シングルランキング(3/16付)で初登場1位を記録。オリコン上半期ランキング2020(2019/12/23付～2020/6/15付)では、アーティスト別セールス部門にて新人セールスの2位を獲得。6月21日には、日本人ボーイズグループとして初めて『KCON:TACT 2020 SUMMER』に出演した。8月26日にはセカンドシングル『STARGAZER』が発売される。via jp1.jp
